My most personal work yet, the watercolors are based on photographs I took in 2017 on the last morning of the last day I visited my family home and farm where I was born and raised. The farm sold the same summer. I paint and draw to ground myself in my surroundings. To learn the language of borderlands and hybridity. To create visual paths. I’m attracted to shiny objects, tiny places in history, daily routines, color carnivals, and lost objects.
